3 VALUEs of IRC
At Impact Rock Church, these are the three Values that we hope our message, heart, behavior, activities, and relationships always reflect:
1. Passionate Love for God
The primary value that IRC is built upon is our PASSIONATE LOVE FOR GOD. As followers of Christ, we should be known for our love. This truth begins with us believing that God loves us and us loving Him. This love changes us from the inside out. We spend time with and talk to those we love and get the incredible privilege of doing so with the Creator of the universe.
Mark 12:30 - “And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.”
2. Genuine Love for His Church
When we love Jesus above all, it compels us, calls us, and empowers us to love others authentically as Christ loves us. Strong church culture is guided by the truth that God first loved us, and He empowers us with GENUINE LOVE FOR HIS CHURCH. Loving God's church requires loving people with grace, patience, endurance, and faithfulness. If we can't love those we serve God with, how can we effectively love people outside the church walls?
Mark 12:31 - “The second is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.”
3. Generous Love for Our Community
God had a purpose in calling this church to Erie, Colorado. Demonstrating GENEROUS LOVE FOR OUR COMMUNITY helps us fulfill that purpose. We give our time, money, and efforts where our community is, which includes neighboring towns. The Good News of Jesus has changed our lives, and we want our community to encounter the Gospel as well, so we always look for opportunities to bless and care for our neighbors.
Romans 5:8 - “but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”
